Sometimes it’s hard
to say goodbye
To those you hold so
near
If it was up to us,
father
I would keep you
here.
We have shared so
many fond memories
That we will never
have again
You were not only my
father
You were my best
friend.
When I was afraid
Of the monster that
hid under my bed
You would chase them
away
You wouldn’t leave
me alone, but stay
with me instead.
The fishing trips
And the hunting
trips, too
Was our special time
together
I was glad to have
that time to spend
with you
You were my
superhero
You were like
superman
Whenever I was in
trouble
In your strength I
could depend.
My dear Dad
Those are some of
the best memories I
can recall
But my greatest
memory of you loving
me
Is the greatest one
of all
