With
great
precision
God has
set his
watch
for New
Year’s
Day,
A day
for new
beginnings,
hopes
held
high.
A time
to make
new
plans
and face
the New
Year
just
ahead,
And tell
past
disappointments
all
goodbye.
God
planned
it so
the
blackest
nights
would
end each
morn at
dawn.
The sun
would
rise and
burst
across
the
land.
It’s
brilliance
burns
away our
worries,
casts
out all
our
fears,
For this
is what
the
great
Creator
planned.
Put away
the
failures
of your
recent
yesterdays.
Pack
them up
and send
them on
their
way.
God’s
watch is
set so
moon and
sun obey
His
great
commands
To give
us a new
start
with
each new
day.
Dear
Father,
as we
face
another
year to
serve
you
here,
To
finish
up our
jobs,
both
large
and
small,
That if
this
year’s
the date
Your son
return
to earth
again,
You’ll
find
that
we’ve
been
faithful
through
it all.
