Our garden of paradise in late spring
is filled with quite wondrous things.
A profuse of fragrant blossoms everywhere
and nature's bountiful beauty abides there.

Bluebird's nest and yellow canaries sing
gentle breezes tickle the wind chimes to ring.
Bumble bees buzz and weeping willows sigh
'neath puffy white clouds and bright blue sky.

We laze for hours in our Garden of Eden
just we two "lovebirds" talking or reading.
Lifting our spirits under warm morning sun
so long together now - we are as one.

Humming birds flitter from flower to flower
sipping from roses that grow on the bower.
Butterflies flutter with wings of colors bright
pollinating blossoms with their fruitful flight.

How quickly this magically day seems to end
as showy shadows dance the evening in.
We rise reluctant to leave our garden
this place in the sun - our Garden of Eden.
