Keeper Of The
Spring

 I found the living
water So soothing and so pure. It gave me
all the strength I needed to
endure.
 And, as my eyes beheld
the Crystal stream, so clear and bright, I
wondered at the Source of my
delight.
 How could the stream,
that followed The rocky mountain
crease, Stay, still, so pure and
sparkling Through all this world’s
debris?
 I thought it so
amazing That I sought to find the course
And climbed the mountain To the highest
source.
 The spring came bubbling
from the rocks, So clean and pure up
there. And, then, I saw a Keeper watching
~ Always with great
care.
 He cleaned the spring
out daily And would never least allow One
bit of filth to stay there ~ On His solemn
vow.
 He gave me, then, a
lesson That I love with all my heart. He
made me keeper of the Spring of Love, which
is my part.
 I will pass pure
waters Of life, where e’er I go, Because I
keep my spring so clean; Not spotted from
below.
 Keeper of the Spring of
Love, Make me a servant true. Let me
build, forever, Upon the likes of You
...
 And keep the waters of
my life Pure, clean, life-giving
words That only witness true and
whole, And make men glad they
heard!
