I be a candle, Lord
Burning throughout the night
to let the glow of Your sweet love
Overflow my soul with light
May I be a willing vessel
burning all the time
to show I love my Jesus
Whose love is so divine.
If I could reach one soul for You
With my candle burning bright,
My heart would overflow with joy
As angels dance with delight.
May all Your love shine through me
So others would want to know
Why the love of Jesus
Is glowing in my soul.
May I be a witness, Lord,
Wherever I may go
As long as You give me strength
To carry on below.
