Many ask God for blessings, for things we're missing
And most often He answers those prayers, for us to see
"Please bless me with this or that", they say
But how often do we miss 'Everyday Blessings'?

Following a slow driver, we decide not to pass
Instead we wait and soon he turns away
Suddenly a car flies by, going much too fast
If we had passed, it would have been a tragic day.

Driving home in the rain, wishing it would quit, with a sigh
Hungry, tired and just feeling low
When you see an encouraging sight, high in the sky
God's special blessing, a beautiful rainbow.

Sitting at home, alone, with nothing to do
Watching television and just feeling bored
Out of the blue, a loved one calls you
They invite you to dinner and you think, "Thank you, Lord".

Slowly you see the little things you didn't see before
Avoiding a crash, a rainbow, dinner with a loved one and more
Then the Holy Spirit whispers to you, "Are you missing
The little things God does for you...the 'Everyday Blessings'"?
