Sunshine In My Day
Each morning I count my blessing.
I’m thankful each time I pray
and no matter what the weather is,
it puts sunshine in my day.
Praying gives me a more cheerful disposition
and puts a smile upon my face,
gives me a more upbeat, positive outlook
as I journey on my way.
God pours hope into my cup until it overflows
to puddles that run into streams
so other folks will see and know
that God loves us, and is watching over us
with His mercy and His grace
and blesses us come rain or shine
no matter what our place.
No matter our station, rich or poor
He will lift the heart of gloom
when we take time to talk with Him
and give His Son some room;
And when we accept Him as our Lord and King;
God makes life’s flowers bloom.
God plants in us a sunshine heart
and gives us courage to walk on
even when the journey seems
rough, steep, rocky and long.
It may take us through dark valleys
where all around us seems so wrong.
When all those storms surround us,
God still lights the way
when I count my blessings,
when I to God pray.
No matter what life’s storms may bring
God puts some sunshine in my day.
