A Place To Linger

A Place To Linger

There is a place I like to linger,
a place where shadows flee away,
where the air is sweet and fragrant
and the sun is warm by day
and by night the silver moonbeams
keep all my fears at bay.

Come with me and walk with me
and letís linger for awhile,
take time to see the glories
as we journey this lifeís miles
oíer the rugged pathway
through valleys, oíer the hills;
let us take time to linger,
to see, hear and be still.

There is a place I like to linger
on wooded path by mountain stream
where I can build upon my hopes
and visualize my dreams.

It is a place where I am happy,
a place where I feel free;
itís a place I love to linger,
come along and walk with me.
It helps me appreciate the blessings
we each receive each day
as we journey through this life
on the path the Lord has blazed.

Come walk with me and share with me
and together walk a ways.
We can talk or just be quiet
and just linger peacefully
within Godís glorious wonders;
itís a lovely place to be.
Come walk with me and talk with me.

Letís linger for awhile
here in the beauty of the morning;
it will ease our burdened miles,
make light our daily struggles,
and our Lord will meet us there
in the stillness of the dawning
as we come to Him in prayer.

He will walk the journey with us,
with Him we can share and talk
and it will help us to be thankful
for all we have and we have not.

Come on, He is waiting for us
and Jesus loves to go for walks
and I love walking with Him;
it sure brightens up a day
when weíre walking in the sonshine
on the path that Jesus blazed.

Come with me and walk with me
and letís linger for awhile,
take time to see the glories
as we journey this lifeís miles.
It will ease our troubles and our burdens
and will turn our frowns to smiles
as we walk together
on the path the Lord has blazed
and we can linger in His sonshine;
come walk with me today.
