Some days, seeing the daily news makes me so sad
Murders, rapes, abuse; I want to scream NO MORE
There's good to be found, but so much more is bad
If one listens closely, one can hear the devil's roar.

Children are having babies, and children are dying
God is outlawed in schools and who can trust the court
They say they're for the people, but I think they're lying
Free speech for porn, pedophiles and abortion they all support.

It seems like so many young folks are on a killing spree
not even out of school yet but carrying guns and knives
can't they understand what they're doing? Can't they see
All the people they're hurting and ending their lives.

Some days, I just want to move far away, my wife and I
Move to the mountains, away from this destructive madness
Child abuse...I've cried so much, I'm ready to die
Please, God, let me sit in your forest, away from all this sadness.

But then, my wise and loving wife will stop me
She tells me to keep reading His Word, continue to learn
If I stop growing in the Lord, I'll never be free
And perhaps, one of these misguided souls we can turn.

The Lord's Word says not to grow faint hearted or weary
When you can't go on, go to the Lord in prayer
He will give you peace and calm in spite of the world's fury
If you trust in Him, you'll be blessed in His loving care.

So for this sinful world, I continue to pray
And sure enough, another lost soul comes to God
For them, their past is now gone; it's a new day
I praise my God and toward Him I will always trod.
