Lord, I come to you with a humble heart
Hear the words I have to say
Looking all around me, Lord
The world get's worse every day.

There's a homeless man on the corner
He just sits and cries
He loses faith in human kindness
As his spirit slowly dies.

Could you touch his heart, dear Lord
Bring him from deep despair
Give him a reason to go on living
Let him know you're there.

A little girl bruised and broken
Hiding behind her closet door
Her fear is real as shadows consume her
She can't take it anymore.

Lord, protect her from the demons
That live deep in her soul
Her mind is full of beatings and rage
The truth she never told.

Be with all the children in the world
Who's tears fall like the rain
The abused and the hurting Lord,
Reach down and ease their pain.

Somewhere in the world , dear Lord
A Mother kneels in prayer
Her anguished heart is screaming
Please let her know You're there.

No money for food or housing
She don't know just what she'll do
Three hungry kids to provide for
In despair she comes to You.

So much pain in this world, Lord
Sometimes we can't go on
Wrap your loving arms around us
Never leave us alone.
