When my journey on this Earth is over
And my body breathes one final sigh
I'll be going to meet with my Jesus
In that wonderful sweet by and by

My spirit will live through eternity
In a land where no tears will be known
And I'll be reunited with loved ones
When I get to my Heavenly home

No pain and no grief will be suffered
No distinction between races we'll see
I'm making preparations for my journey
And the joy that is waiting for me

When He gathers the faithful in the Rapture
And takes them all where they sorrow no more
I'll be at the river just waiting for you
Then the wonders of Heaven we'll explore
